Our Mission and Vision
Hugs for Homeless is a grassroots, nonprofit organization in Edmonton, Alberta, dedicated to providing essential supplies to those living on the streets. Our backpacks include vital items like toiletries, vitamins, and personal care products.

Essential Supplies
We collect and distribute backpacks filled with critical items such as can openers, tissues, soap, toothpaste, socks and other necessities for individuals experiencing homelessness in Edmonton's streets.
Wellness
Health Support
Our health support projects focus on distributing vitamins and hygiene products. These initiatives aim to improve the overall well-being of those in need, as well as a list of resources in the area ensuring they have access to basic healthcare essentials.
Outreach
Community Engagement
Through outreach efforts, we connect with homeless individuals, offering them not just supplies but also a sense of community and belonging, highlighting the importance of support and kindness. Every bag comes with a list of shelters and resources that are available to help people in need.

Looking for an engaging corporate/group volunteering or team building activity? Why not make a difference through our KITS FOR A CAUSE PROGRAM.
Help assemble “Hugs / Care Kits” for individuals in need. This program was developed specifically to accommodate groups of all sizes, whether you're volunteering with friends, family, colleagues, or on your own, from groups of 5 to 5,000, your contribution directly impacts our community.
